BioResEd currently has two direct drill Network brand seeders available for hire; one is located in the Bundaberg district and one in the Lismore district. The direct drill seeders are linkage mounted and relatively light so they won’t compact your soil. The slightly angled discs provide minimal soil disturbance. Both small and large seed can be sown and seed depth can be adjusted. Double discs enable the seed to be dropped between the discs into the ground then pressed with spring loaded plates and roller.
Network direct drill seeders are relatively cheap to purchase and are good for sowing larger areas either into worked ground or low mown grass. New heavier models are just about to be released that will be more suited to compacted ground and heavier ground cover.
